Don't Quit Your Day Job: A Working Writers Workshop
Ryan Kriger and Christy Mihaly will present a workshop for educators, librarians, and other book-loving folk who might be thinking, or dreaming, about writing more seriously. We’ll talk about our journeys as lawyers who decided to be writers, and the challenges (and benefits) of having a day job while also pursuing a writing career. We’ll share tips and resources, both local and online, to help you connect with the writing community and find opportunities to share your writing. We’ll discuss the writing life, myths, and misconceptions, and answer questions about how you might take that next step toward publication.
